Roy Pronk
Roy Pronk started his journey in healthcare by graduating in physiotherapy from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam in 1992, followed by training in manual therapy at the School voor Manuele Therapie in 1995. Driven by his passion to bridge the gap between the Eastern and the Western medicine, he decided to follow the Traditional Chinese Medicine - Acupuncture course at the TCM Academy where he graduated in 2010.
Roy has been at the helm of various physiotherapy practices since 2001 and founded Acupuncture & Zo in Ermelo/Harderwijk in 2006, where he has been combining physiotherapy techniques with acupuncture, Shiatsu and QiGong for many years to offer a holistic approach to patient care.
Throughout his life, Roy has been constantly looking to expand his professional knowledge. He has followed dozens of professional postgraduate courses, first in physiotherapy and now in acupuncture. He not only applies this knowledge in his practice, but also passes it on to the broader medical community by writing articles and participating in scientific research, for example into the impact of acupuncture on pain complaints.
In his personal and professional life, Roy combines his fascination with both Eastern and Western philosophies, with a strong focus on the balance between physical health and the flow of universal energy. His aim is to achieve optimal health for his patients by applying a personal and holistic approach.
On a personal level, Roy is known for his ability to initiate, organize and facilitate activities and events. He is also good at blending different opinions, interests and concerns into a common goal. He does this in such a skillful way that everyone feels motivated, accepted and appreciated.
