Practicing yoga for years made Freedman aware that the human body and mind are inextricably linked. It led to contact with the rich world of Eastern natural medicine.

Attracted to this approach to human health, Freedman decided to train as an acupuncturist in 2006. After completing this in 2009, he immediately supplemented his training with a course in Western herbs with Jeremy Ross. That same year he started the practice of Acupuncture Woerden. Since then, Freedman has been treating people according to the holistic approach of Eastern naturopathy.

Diving deeper into herbs

Paul Freedman followed the oriental herbal training of ICEAM from Arnaud Versluys. What makes this training special is the extensive pulse diagnostics developed by Dr. Tian Hemming. Arnoud Versluys is the only direct successor of Dr. Hemming, making this knowledge virtually unique.

In recent years, Paul has spent systematically mapping the herbal formulas of the Shan Hang Lun, based on the Yellow Emperor's Classic. He was fascinated by the systematic similarities between the herbal formulas and the diagnostic and therapeutic classification methods. He applies this knowledge daily in his practice with wonderful results. Paul is eager to pass on his insights to his TCM colleagues.
